Jackie Lams is a mixed-media painter based in Michigan.

Her paintings are built in layers of colors, words and textures. What is held in the surface comes forward or falls back with the viewer and the light, until each piece settles in a quiet presence. 

She draws on classical beauty, the natural world, and a faith that treats beauty as something to be stewarded. Sacred text appears as layers and atmosphere, not as illustration.
